What is the ISSO Journal?
The ISSO Journal was established to share knowledge among CMS Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and promote ongoing role-based education. As the publication evolved over time, it now serves the entire CMS cybersecurity community with the latest insights on security and privacy topics. It provides information about cybersecurity trends and developments at CMS to support ISSOs and decision makers alike.
Contribute to the Journal
The Journal is distributed widely across CMS, and features contributions from security and privacy program leaders, Information System Security Officers, and contractor industry experts. It provides opportunities to share knowledge and lessons learned which in turn supports a stronger cybersecurity culture at CMS. If you are a security certification holder, some certificate organizations award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for articles submitted to the Journal.
All CMS cybersecurity professionals – both Federal employees and contractors – are invited to contribute! Contact us by email at ISSO@cms.hhs.gov if you would like to submit an article.
