Platform-As-A-Service with tools, security, and support services designed specifically for CMS

What is CMS Hybrid Cloud?

CMS Hybrid Cloud is a secure and compliant Platform as a Service (PaaS) located at cloud.cms.gov. It helps CMS employees and contractors deliver services in a faster, safer way. (Note: access to the CMS Hybrid Cloud website requires a CMS login.)

CMS Hybrid Cloud allows your team to focus on developing products that serve CMS’s providers and beneficiaries without needing to manage the underlying security infrastructure. CMS Hybrid Cloud also offers compliance support that helps you create the documentation and continuing assurance necessary to comply with FISMA regulations and CMS’s Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements.

What does CMS Hybrid Cloud offer?

CMS Hybrid Cloud offers a variety of options for platforms, tools, and services. Teams can choose to use any of the service offerings to solve specific problems or pain points for their FISMA system.

Secure and scalable platforms

Whether you're developing new applications, conducting a lift-and-shift, modernizing while migrating, or looking to operate with a hybrid model with the cloud and datacenter, CMS Hybrid Cloud enables your success. CMS Hybrid Cloud is backed by industry-leading technology from Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Your team can choose the platform that best suits their needs for:

  • FISMA boundaries
  • Data usage
  • Hosting
  • Available services

Tested and reliable tools

CMS Hybrid Cloud operates tools and technologies that are fully integrated into the available platforms, allowing your team to benefit from them without incurring their operational burden. The more tools and shared services you use, the less you have to worry about when it comes to security and compliance paperwork. CMS Hybrid Cloud continues to expand the suite of shared services, so check back regularly to see what’s new.
