The CMS Information Security and Privacy Library is retired: 3 things to do now

by Policy Team

ISPG CyberGeek is now the home for all CMS security and privacy information

The Information Security and Privacy Group (ISPG) has a new website — known as “CyberGeek” — that is now your first stop for security and privacy information! Visit CyberGeek at security.cms.gov to learn about the policies, programs, and tools that help keep CMS information and systems safe.

Because of this transition, the former CMS Information Security and Privacy Library has been retired. All documents that used to be in the library are now online at CyberGeek in a modern, user-friendly format.

What will change?

ISPG is working to be more efficient and to serve customers better. Here are some of the improvements you will experience by using CyberGeek:

  • Easily search for the information you need using CyberGeek’s search tool
  • Keep up with the latest news on cybersecurity policies and programs on the ISPG blog
  • Jump right to the information you need using the interactive table-of-contents (example here)
  • Be confident that you’re always seeing the latest version of a document or template (no more version control issues, because the site is kept updated by ISPG teams)

What you can do now

  1. Update your bookmarks (links to the old InfoSec library will no longer work)
  2. Check out this announcement about ISPG templates
  3. Visit CyberGeek at security.cms.gov for all your CMS cybersecurity and privacy needs!

Questions?

If you have questions, reach out to the CyberGeek team in CMS Slack #ispg-cybergeek or get in touch with the ISPG policy experts in CMS Slack #ispg-sec_privacy-policy Or you can send an email to CISO@cms.hhs.gov.
